Town Elections Forum May 9th 2024
Please SAVE THE DATE AND SEND IN QUESTIONS!
This is the town’s election and the forum is for the candidates to answer the towns questions. Please email candidate questions to Pembrokedebate24@gmail.com. The Chamber will review the questions and select 5 for the Select Board candidates and 5 for the School Committee candidates.

What will the town of Pembroke look like in 10-15 years?
The Town of Pembroke has embarked on an approximately one year long planning process to prepare a Master Plan (the “Plan”) to guide actions and decisions through the next 10-15 years. A Master Plan is a comprehensive, non-statutory, and long-term planning document that provides vision, direction and a defined achievable future for the Town by establishing specific goals and strategies for land use; housing; economic development; natural, cultural, and historic resources; open space and recreation; public facilities and services; and transportation and mobility.

Pembroke’s NEW Community Center Building Project!
A project 17 years in the making, the Pembroke Community Center project is coming along quickly! The facility is expected to be opened by the end of June 2024.
VERTEX is the Owner’s Project Manager for the Pembroke Community Center. This project entails a new, two-story 28,000 SF Community Center, including an 11,000 SF gymnasium with an elevated walking track and program spaces for a combined senior center and recreation department. The building will include a kitchen and an elevator. The structure will be a mix of steel and wood framed. This project includes abatement and demolition of the existing building and a complete site package for the new facility. The total construction duration is fourteen (14) months.
